Special Compounded Drugs

  1. Cisapride (Prepulsid). Cisapride is used to treat gastric reflux (the regurgitation of the stomach acid into the oesophagus) which is usually experienced as indigestion. Cisapride increases the rate at which your oesophagus, stomach & intestine move food during digestion.
  2. Ketoconazole (Nizoral). Ketoconazole is a broad spectrum anti-fungal agent. Ketoconazole is effective against a broad range of fungi including tinea infections and yeast infections such as candida.
  3. Carbimazole (Neomercazole). Carbimazole is an anti-thyroid medication used to treat hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) which is also known as thyrotoxicosis. It works by reducing the amount of thyroid hormone your body makes.
  4. 4-Aminopyridine ( 4-AP or Fampyra). 4-Aminopyridine improves the walking ability in adults with Multiple Sclerosis, showing improvement after 8 weeks of treatment.
  5. Rapamycin (Sirolimus). Immunosuppressant for tuberous sclerosis, a genetic disease where benign (non-malignant) tumours grown in different parts of the body.
  6. Uro-Vaxom . Uro-Vaxom stimulates the body’s immune system to increase the body’s natural defences against a wide range of urinary pathogens. Uro-Vaxom prevents recurrent urinary tract infections, in particular cystitis.
  7. Cyclosporine. Cyclosporine is an immunosuppressant drug that interferes with inflammatory processes such as allergic reactions, autoimmune disease & dry eyes in animals.
  8. HCG. HCG is a weight loss protocol with a 90% success rate. Some medical professionals are hailing HCG as a breakthrough in losing weight and stubborn body fat.
  9. Naltrexone (Low dose Naltrexone). Naltrexone in a low dose can normalise the immune system helping those with cancer, auto-immune disease and central nervous system disorders.
  10. Trilostane. Trilostane is a promising treatment for Cushing’s disease in dogs where too much of the hormone cortisol is produced.

  14. Tacrolimus . Tacrolimus is an immunosuppressive drug used topically for the redness & inflammation of eczema and dermatitis
  15. Acetyl Cysteine. N Acetyl cysteine is an anti-oxidant used in asthma, bronchitis, cystic fibrosis, paracetamol poisoning and alcohol induced liver toxicity. It is used to reduce toxicity of some anti-cancer drugs
  16. Ergotamine (Cafergot) . Ergotamine constricts blood vessels in the brain to stop a migraine or vascular headache.
  17. Melatonin . Melatonin is a natural, non-addicting hormone that helps with sleep. Melatonin is also an antioxidant and free radical scavenger that fights inflammation.
  18. Liothyronine (T3) . Liothyronine is a thyroid hormone used to treat hypothyroidism. It is often supplemented when hypothyroidism is not improved with levothyroxine (T4) alone.
  19. Nystatin Lozenge (Nilstat). Nystatin antifungal lozenges are used for candida infection of the mouth and throat (oral thrush).
  20. Fluoxetine . Fluoxetine has a number of veterinary uses including anxiety, compulsive behaviour and separation stress.
  21. Nitazoxanide . Nitazoxanide is an anti-parasitic anti-diarrhoeal drug used to treat protozoan infections such as cryptosporidium, giardia and blastocystis hominis.
